What does Beyond Economic Repair (BER) mean?

For Car Insurance Customers

Beyond Economic Repair means that your vehicle is not economical to repair.

Following an incident where your car has been damaged, your car may be deemed beyond economic repair.

This means the estimated cost of repairing your car exceeds the replacement or market value.

In this situation, you may decide to repair your car, however, you may be required to get a certificate of road worthiness from a qualified engineer before cover can put back in place.

If you find yourself in this position you can speak to our Customer Care Team on 01 524 6029.
