What is the minimum age for my pet to be insured via 123.ie?

Eight Weeks old.
Do you stop offering cover when my pet is older?

We do not stop offering cover when your pet is older as long as there hasn't been a break in cover.
Will you put up the premium if I make a claim?

The premium is determined by the underwriter and some policies may be loaded at renewal for previous claims.
When does my cover start?

Your cover will start straight away but there will be a 14-day waiting period for illness cover.
What is a claim excess and how much will this be?

The claim excess is the amount you will pay for each condition per year. For pets under the age of 8 years the excess is €69, for pets older than 8 years the excess is €69 and an additional 15% of the benefit amount.
What should I do if I need to make a claim?
In the event of an accident, injury, illness, loss or damage giving rise or likely to give rise to a claim under this policy, You must either:

- request a claim form from Ultimate by email on petclaims@ultimateservices.co.uk or
- by telephone on 1850 499 123

How long will it take to process my claim?

Your claim will be processed within 5 days of receipt of your claim. If all is in order, your claim will be paid on or around the 5th day, if more information is required by us we will contact either you or your vet on or around the 5th day.
Will you pay the vet or myself directly?

We can pay you or the vet just let us know on the relevant section of the claim form.
