Reminder:

If you are resident in the Republic of Ireland, then your UK/NI License will no longer be valid after 31st December 2020. You will need to exchange your license or apply for a learner permit before this date. Simply email your NDLS receipt or your new license to info@123.ie. Further info can be found below.

The Road Safety Authority of Ireland have issued a notice to all UK/NI driving licence holders:

Are you the holder of a UK/NI driving licence? The Road Safety Authority wishes to advise policyholders, resident in Ireland, with a UK/NI driving licence of the importance of exchanging the UK/NI licence for an Irish one. Anyone resident in Ireland who holds a UK/NI driving licence must exchange it for an Irish one before the 31st December 2020. After this date, in the event of a no-deal Brexit, your existing UK/NI licence will no longer be valid to drive here.

It is important that you exchange your licence now to be certain that you are entitled to drive on Irish roads after the UK leaves the EU. Full details on how to exchange a licence can be found on the NDLS website, www.ndls.ie where you can also make a booking to attend your nearest NDLS centre.

Once you have applied for your Irish licence simply send a photo of the NDLS receipt to info@123.ie or post a copy to 123.ie, RSA House, Dundrum Town Centre, Dundrum, Dublin 16 before December 31st 2020.
