Am I covered for items taken outside of my home?

For Car Insurance Customers

If you have a Comprehensive Car Insurance policy we will cover you for loss or damage to your personal belongings as a result of fire, theft or accidental damage while the items are on or in your car. Items will not be covered for theft if your car is unlocked and items must be out of view while your car is unattended e.g. in the boot or glove box. Mobile phones are not covered under any section of the car insurance policy.

For Home Insurance Customers

You are covered for certain items taken outside of your home if you opted for specified or unspecified all risks cover. This will be noted on your insurance schedule. If you would like to add or amend this cover, please contact our Customer Care team on 01 524 6029 who will advise you if there is a change in premium for this.
