How do I add an item to my policy?

For Home Insurance Customers

To add an item to your Home Insurance policy you will need to contact our Customer Care team on 01 524 6029. They will take a description and the value of the item and let you know if there is any additional premium due for covering this.

The description will need to include:

  • Physical description of the item 
  • Type of metal or stones if jewellery
  • Make & model (i.e. for bicycles, electronics, cameras or phones)
  • Any identifying numbers such as serial number if relevant 

For any item over the value of €6,000 we will request a valuation. For more details on valuations, click here

The maximum value we can add an item to your policy for is €10,000. Depending on the type and value of the item, endorsements may apply. We will let you know full details of these when you call.

Please note there are some items we cannot cover under all risks, when you contact us with details we can let you know. Alternatively you can check the exclusions listed in our policy booklet under the all risks section  here.
